Flufferdoodle (neutered male) - Long hair, fluffy gray tabby, beautiful green/blue eyes. He is very friendly, likes to sit/stand on your feet. Likes to take walks, play with toys, climb trees. He likes to play with his siblings. Comes when he is called. This kitten was born to a backyard mama cat. The momma kitty has been a devoted, protective mom. The kittens in her litter have enjoyed playing in a large yard with a garden and trees. They are well adjusted and have become friendlier as they have grown. If given love and attention they will continue to become wonderful companions. They were born on the 4th of July. They have all been spayed or neutered, vaccinated for rabies and tested negative for FeLV/FIV. They enjoy the company of their littermates and would like to have a buddy to play with when you are away. They would enjoy being adopted in pairs. They have been mostly outside, but enjoy coming inside in the evening to socialize and play. If you are interested in meeting these kitties, please call Becky at 845-1518. Adoption fee ($40 for one kitten, $60 for two) to help cover veterinary expenses, application required. Please do not contact Companion Animal Foundation as this animal is not in our care.

"Smokey" is a neutered male medium-haired Angora mix, matured age of 13 1/2-years old. He is an indoor /outdoor kitty that can be sometimes aloof, but very loving (and is very handsome!).
"Tribble" is a fun 4-year old neutered male medium-haired brown tabby Maine Coon mix. He is highly intelligent and a chicken hawk. You can not leave any kind of chicken meal unattended or he will drag it off down the hallway (which is great for anyone who likes to feed raw food or give fresh-meat snacks to their kitties). He likes to sleep under the covers with his humans and would probably prefer being an only child.
"Molly" is a friendly 4-year old spayed female short-haired Abyssinian mix. She is highly intelligent and is a fishy fanatic! She is a indoor/outdoor cat. She enjoys curling up in warm laps and truly thinks she is the Queen. Molly would also prefer to be your only little princess. Unfortunately, these kitties' parents need to find them a home and in desperate need by November 15th.They have until Nov 15th to find new homes for them. Their parents had to move from their old house and are unable to have pets at their new one and have been actively trying for the past 4 months. They simply do not have a choice and have to find a new one for them. Questions about ? Please contact Lori at Eaglenest_22@yahoo.com or call her at 707-599-4649 This is a private adoption, this animal is not affiliated with CAF.

Romeo is best at being beautiful! Other pluses are being great in the car, but not left in the car. He's also very good with walking side by side with you, and returning when being called upon. His favorite pasttime is sitting on ones' lap, and guarding the house. I feel he would do best being the only animal of the home and with a single person or couple. He is six years old, and his birthday is 07-11-05. His faults are marking his territory, (but only since getting a new dog) and barking at the door upon arrival or departure. He is temperamental, and seems misunderstood by some. I've owned him since he was 1 1/2, and he has never been under any harm in my care. He came from a family that had a toddler and another on the way, and several other animals. Now I'm about to have my first child and have another family member that has moved in with her animal and sadly it's not working out again. He needs an owner who has patience and understanding. Warnings, if you pick him up wrong or put him down wrong he will pretend to bite, sometimes will bite, or growl. If given to someone who has the patience to train I believe these things can be fixed, his biggest need is to be adored... and with a face like that it isn't hard... He is up to date on all his shots, and is healthy.

Ollie is a 4-year old short haired neutered male cat, blue gray in color. He is current on all his vaccinations, including rabies and feline leukemia. His vet is McKinleville Animal Care Center. Ollie has lived in a rural area so he loves the outdoors and is a very good mouser and hunter, and spends a good part of his day outside. And then he enjoys the warmth of the house and hearth at night. He has never bitten or scratched another cat, dog, child or adult and is actually quite gentle and easy going in temperament. Ollie has been exposed to young children and is very good with them. Ollie also had a dog and so he has been exposed and is comfortable with dogs. He is independent and fine when left alone during the day, and is very well housebroken, never having an accident or soiling in the house. "We have several other cats, and he gets along with all the cats except our old 15 year old female....he teases her and stalks her, creating a lot of stress for her. I do not know why he does this but it has become obvious, sadly, that the female cat needs a break from him." His current family loves him and hopes to find a good home for him where he can roam freely and safely, and also have indoor access for those cold nights.

He is playful and housebroken...a generally "good dog". He will be available for adoption just after Christmas...around Dec 27th or 28th. locally.... (I cannot keep him. We have 4 dogs already. Dante is a cute, playful, cuddly lap cat. He is so sweet and friendly though not happy in his current home due to 'too many cats' syndrome. Dante's human is so sad to have to find him a new home, but feels he would be happier as a single kitty in a home where he can be king. He does have a flea allergy and needs to be on regular flea medication. If you want to snuggle up with Dante please call Anji Ammon At (707)442-7224. Please let ring at least 6 times. There is no answering machine. This animal is not housed at CAF, this animal is adopted out by its owner. Please contact the owner directly.
Tiny is a short-haired black senior (between 8-10-years old, unsure exactly). He is pretty independent, however he will come visit you when he is called and nuzzle you. He likes to talk with you as well. He is a nice, calm boy that would love a nice retirement home. He is neutered, vaccinated, and has tested negative for FeLV/FIV . He will need a micro chip.
Small re-homing fee. Contact Pamela at: pmaxfield1@yahoo.com

A client just surrendered her 5-year old female spayed black Pomeranian/chihuahua cross to McKinleyville Animal Care Center (MACC). Her name is Cookie and she's 12 lbs. She's kind of special needs, but MACC just couldn't give up on her after so much effort spent saving her. She has Addison's disease (an adrenal disorder), and she has a congenital head tilt (pretty mild) but is otherwise very healthy. She receives Percorten injections every 3 weeks (about $65 in hospital or the new owner can be trained to do the injections at home) and is on prednisone daily (roughly another $5-10 per month). She will need these medications the rest of her life. She's been a bit dominant aggressive with smaller dogs, so probably would do best around bigger dogs, submissive dogs, or as an only dog. She's been fine with chickens, and is afraid of the cats unless they come too close to her food bowl when she's eating (she's been fed in her crate, and they get warning growls). She's got some separation anxiety issues but is actually adjusting well to the crate, and LOVES people and wants constant attention. Cookie loves to play, is very sociable, and has had no issues with any people she's been in contact with so far. Please feel free to contact MACC with any questions or to make arrangements to visit her. Pumpkin is a 2 year old male Maine Coon cat. He weighs 16 lbs and is good with kids and other cats, but not happy around dogs. He is up-to-date on his vaccinations and is neutered. Pumpkin is a very friendly cat who loves people. He is very intelligent and loves to play. He is outdoors a lot but likes to be indoors at night. He's not a lap cat. For more information, or to meet Pumpkin, please contact JoAnn at 707-443-0475

Boots is a young adult (2-5 yrs old) neutered male grey and white short-haired cat. He is average sized... around 8-10 lbs. Not much is known about his previous life as he was "dumped" in the woods, but he seems healthy and happy. He is a "talker" and enjoys being brushed and having his belly rubbed. He is a good hunter, and clean and well-behaved. He needs to find a home asap because with winter coming, living outside in the forest will not be good for him. He may be ok with other cats.
URGENT: Please help us find a home for Boots asap! Call Merry Ann at 530-629-3379 for more information or email RATTZO@aol.com

Blanche is a spayed female, 9-year old, long-haired grey and white kitty. Elisa acquired her from a neighbor about 2 months ago and has been trying to re-home her since the abandonment. She is up-to-date on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, and is micro chipped. Blanche is a very sweet and affectionate girl. She would very much prefer to be the only kitty in the household, she gets along fine with dogs, as long as they are not aggressive or 'chase' kitties. Blanche gets along fine with Elisa's dogs. A request of a small re-homing fee of $20 (minimum suggested, more is appreciated) to be donated directly to Companion Animal Foundation. For more information or to meet Blanche, please contact Elisa of Eureka at 707-407-6650 or elisaabelleira@yahoo.com

Tassy is a medium-haired tabby, a spayed female who is approximately 5 years old. She has three legs (although you can't tell in the photo) and she has some attitude, but desperately needs a nice home or barn where she can be out of the elements. She is a clip-eared cat (meaning she was trapped as a feral cat and spayed) that lives outside behind Lima's Pharmacy in McKinleyville. A kind woman named Grace feeds her daily, but this cat needs to be rehomed to a better location.
You can pet Tassy, but she has issues when you try to pick her up or get too friendly. She is a lovely cat -- she just isn't going to be a lap cat. Anyone out there willing to give her a home? Contact Patty at pakiblackcat@yahoo.com This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it if you'd like to meet Tassy and Grace, who feeds her.

He will open doors with levers for you, this is how clever he is. He loves to sleep in bed with his people at night and follow them around in the day wherever they go. He is great with cats and kids. He even takes treats and biscuits ever so gently from your hand or you can lay them directly into his mouth. He currently resides in McKinleyville.
Jacqueline would love for someone to adopt him (she has raised him from birth) and love him as much as she does. If you are interested in Zeus or have any questions for her, please contact her directly at 707-839-5030 or handy340@sbcglobal.net
