In 2008, Humboldt Area Foundation, who works to connect people that invest in our community, awarded Companion Animal Foundation a grant for stainless steel cages, a new refrigerator and a three-compartment stainless steel sink to wash our adoptable animals when needed and to wash kitty litter boxes in as well.

In 2005, HAF awarded CAF, as part of the Humboldt Spay/Neuter Network, a grant to spay and neuter feral cats. A program for TNR (trap, neuter, return) involving feral cats will be in place at all times, but this program has been greatly assisted and accelerated by this grant and these funds should be available through.
